Raising Girls Summit

This is a yearly conference aimed at deliberating on issues that affect girls in Africa. With yearly theme’s carefully crafted based on current happenings in Africa, the Summit aims to influence social change and policies to ensure the better life and future prospect of girls in Africa.

Our Raising Girls Summit targeted over 1,000 participants directly with targeted audience including key stakeholders from international institutions, public/ private sectors, NGOs, government, media, students, educationist, parents and the general public.

Raising Girls Workshops

Raising Girls is a project designed with the aim to empower girls
between the ages 11 and 17 years old (especially those in secondary school). We do this by targeting and engaging key stakeholders including parents, teachers, faith leaders, policy makers, women, men, boys and girls. We strongly believe that in order to advocate against those who abuse and undermine the Girl-Child, we have to begin to address the underling factors that weaken the global competitiveness of today’s African Girl-Child.

This includes addressing the generational social habits that emasculate and marginalize the African Girl-Child.

Gender mainstreaming Training Programme

Gender mainstreaming is not just a principle; it’s a transformative approach that recognizes the inherent value of gender equality in achieving sustainable and equitable outcomes. By embedding gender considerations into the fabric of our organization, RWI strives to challenge existing norms, dismantle barriers, and create opportunities for women and girls to thrive in all spheres of life.

Our Gender Mainstreaming Programme encompasses a range of strategies, from policy advocacy and capacity-building initiatives to stakeholder engagement and awareness-raising campaigns. By championing gender equality at every level, RWI aims to catalyze systemic change, empower women and girls, and build a more just and inclusive society for all.
